Do you have everything?
Will your bank account pass verification?
CSD verifies your bank account by matching the account holder's name to your CIPC registration, letter-for-letter. This single mismatch — a trading name on the bank account, a missing "Pty Ltd", a typo — is the most common reason registrations stall. Type both names exactly as they appear on your documents.
Check your CSD number format
A valid CSD supplier number is MAAA followed by seven digits — for example MAAA0123456. This only checks the format is right, not whether the number is real or your registration is active; only secure.csd.gov.za knows that.
This checks your application against the most common, documented causes of CSD delays and rejections. It cannot check your live registration or verification status — nothing does that except secure.csd.gov.za itself once you submit. Nothing you type here is sent anywhere or saved.

- • Checks your application against the documented, common causes of CSD delays and rejections.
- • Validates the format of a CSD/MAAA number (MAAA + 7 digits) — not whether it's real or active.
- • Compares the name on your CIPC registration to the name on your bank account — the single most common reason bank verification fails.
- • Does not check your live registration status. No public CSD status-lookup exists anywhere; only secure.csd.gov.za knows your real status once you've registered.
- • Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted, logged, or stored.
