The Central Supplier Database (CSD) is National Treasury's single register of suppliers to government. Every organ of state checks your CSD record (your MAAA number) before considering a bid — without it, you're disqualified before your price is even read.
What do you need from me to register?+
Your company name and registration number, a contact person and phone number, your SARS tax number, and your bank details for the banking-verification step. We ask for exactly this on the confirmation page after you pay — no account needed.
How long does CSD registration take?+
Once we have your details, most registrations are submitted within a business day; the CSD's own bank-verification step can take a few more days on their side, which is outside our control.
