Privacy Policy

Effective 27 June 2026 · POPIA-aligned

1. Who we are

Bidcheck (“we”, “us”) provides a platform that helps South African businesses find, qualify for and prepare government tenders. We are the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. Information we collect

Account details you give us (name, email, password). Business profile details you choose to add (industry, province, B-BBEE level, CIDB grade, CSD number). Documents you upload to your vault. Usage data (pages visited, features used) collected through privacy-friendly analytics. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use it

To run your account, match tenders to your profile, check eligibility, prepare bid documents, send the alerts you ask for, take payment for paid plans, and improve the service. We process your information on the basis of your consent and to perform our contract with you.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate — hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), and payment processing (Stripe) — each bound to protect it. Tender data itself comes from public National Treasury sources. We never sell your data.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure with access controls and encryption in transit. We keep it only as long as your account is active or as required by law, then delete it.

6. Your rights

Under POPIA you may access, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Contact us and we will action your request.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in and privacy-friendly analytics to understand traffic. We do not use advertising trackers.

8. Contact
